The Sisters Oregon Quilt Show is one of those must see events for anyone who makes quilts or dreams of doing so. There are some Oregon events that are so big they demand a page of their own and this is one of them.

Over 1200 quilts from all over the United States and the world will be on display in the biggest outdoor quilt show in the world. The main street is blocked off for traffic and the town's buildings, fences, and balconies are hung with the most amazing quilts of all styles, sizes, and colors.
The 2009 Sisters Quilt Show, always held on the second Saturday in July, will be held on July 11th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. However, there are events taking place the entire week with displays of quilts and other fiber and textile arts in sponsoring businesses.

Around the Block Quilt Walk - July 4th through July 12th
View over 100 quilts displayed in Sisters shops and stores.
Wish Upon a Card July 1st through July 11th
Fabric postcards are on display at Sisters Art Works. Cards are sold and there is a silent auction for a selection of framed cards made by Quilters Affairs Instructors. Proceeds go to Wendy's Wish to support the St. Charles Cancer Treatment Center.

Quilters Affairs Classes - July 6th through July 10th
Quilting classes and lectures taught by expert quilters from all over the United States. Advanced registration is required and in most cases materials, kits, or books need to be purchased in advance. If you are interested in taking these classes visit Quilters Affair.
Quilting Activity Area - July 11th
Learn to make your own quilt block. This activity is held in Town Square behind Re/Max Realty. All ages are welcome. Instructors will be on hand to show you how to make a block. Sewing machines are provided by Viking and materials are donated by Westminister Fibers and others. Hours are from 10:30 to 2:30.
Lodging is available for out-of-town visitors in Sisters and nearby Bend.
