Rogue River camping is a great way to enjoy the river and the outdoors whether you are on a week long vacation or a weekend getaway. 

Indian Mary Park

Indian Mary Park Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in Southern Oregon and it is easy to see why. It is right on the Rogue River and it has large spaces.

There are three horseshoe pits, basket ball hoop, volleyball court, boat ramp, a nine-hole disk golf course and a playground. Wood and ice are available. Two of the three restrooms have showers. A dump station is free for campers.

This is an excellent campground for large picnics. The Sims Picnic Shelter seats 200 people and has a sink, counter, electricity, and a large barbeque. Two other picnic areas have 12 to 15 picnic tables, barbecue, available water, and electricity.

For the disabled there is one tent site and one full hook-up site.

The park has 44 RV full hook-up sites with electric (50 amp), water, and sewer. There are 34 tent sites with water available. Also, there are two furnished yurts eith electricity and a heater. The yurts sleep five.

Part of this park is closed in the winter months.

Directions: From I-5 north of Grants Pass take Exit 61 to the Merlin Galice Road. Travel west 19 miles to the park.

Griffin Park

Griffin Park Campground is small, quiet, and just a nice place to relax. It is on the Rogue River and is an excellent place to view the annual Memorial Day and Labor Day hydroplane races.

There is a grass Volleyball area, horse shoe pit, boat ramp, nature trail, and children's playground. The restrooms are ADA and have showers. A free dump station is provided for guests.

The park has 15 full hook-ups for RV's with electric, water, and sewer. One of these is ADA. There are four tent sites with water available and one yurt which sleeps five.

There is a day-use picnic shelter that seats 60 people. It has a large barbeue, fireplace, sink, and electricity.

Directions: Travel Highway 199 west to River Banks Road and turn north. Follow River Banks Road north to Griffin Road and turn right.

Almeda Camp

Almeda Camp north of Galice is for tent camping only. It has 34 tent sites with water available. There is one yurt which is furnished and sleeps five people. There is an ADA vault restroom (no shower). Firewood and ice are available. There is a boat ramp.

Directions: From I-5 north of Grants Pass take Exit 61 to the Merlin Galice Road. Travel the Merlin Galice Road to Galice and continue on to the park.



This is probably as far as you would want to go on this highway in an RV. The road becomes one lane and is quite narrow in spots.

Schroeder Park

Schroeder Park Campground is a great place to enjoy Rogue River camping without going too far from civilization. There are 29 full hook-up RV sites with 50 amp electricity, water, and sewer. For tents there are 22 campsites with water available and there are two furnished yurts that sleep five people. There is one ADA RV site and one ADA tent site.

In the full hook-up area there is a heated restroom with showers. The tent section has a chemical toilet. The park has a children's playground, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, boat ramp, an ADA fishing platform, and two baseball fields. The picnic shelter seats up to 75 people and has water available.

Directions: On I-5 take Exit 55. Travel on Highway 199 about 6 miles. Turn right on Willow Lane.
