Portland breweries have quite a reputation for their hand crafted beer. Portland brewpubs are a good place to go for lunch or dinner or just spend an afternoon or evening sampling the different brews. If you are a beer lover, you can't visit Portland without trying Portland beer.
Here is a selection of ten of the best Portland brewpubs arranged by area. Missing from this list are the McMinniman's Brewpubs which demand a page of their own.

You can sample their beers at the Gasthaus Pub. They offer six beers in their "Core Lineup" and an additional selection which changes from day to day. You can order a sampling of six for tasting which gives you six 4 oz servings of your choice of beers.
The Gasthaus Pub is open for both lunch and dinner. The menu is huge and includes appetizers, soup and salad, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and full dinner entrees such as scnitzels, steaks, meatloaf and more.
