The Oregon Symphony is the oldest symphony orchestra west of the Mississippi and one of the largest symphonies in the United States.

Portlanders are indeed fortunate to have an internationally acclaimed orchestra which gives a well-rounded selection of concerts each year. From classical to pops you are sure to find one or many performances for that perfect evening of entertainment. Most concerts take place at the Arlene Scnitzer Concert Hall at 1037 SW Broadway in downtown Portland. There are entrances from S.W. Broadway and S.W. Park Avenue.

The Oregon Symphony, sometimes called the Portland Symphony, is currently directed by Carlos Kalmar formerly music director of the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Hamburg Symphony, and Vienna's Tonkunstlerorchester. Gregory Vajda is the Resident Conductor. Jeff Tyzik is Pops Conductor.
