The trip to the Oregon Caves from Cave Junction on Highway 46 is 20 miles. The road is two-lane and the last 10 miles is very curvy. It is not recommended that you make this trip in an RV or in a car pulling a travel trailer.

You can only buy tour tickets once you reach the caves. If you arrive in the morning and want to buy a tour ticket for later in the day you can do so.

The tours are moderately strenuous with stairs to climb and places where you have to walk bent over. It is not recommended that anyone with heart conditions, breathing problems, or walking problems attempt the tour.
