Oregon Beach Cleanup 2010

Cape Perpetua

Cape Perpetua

Twice a year thousands of volunteers join SOLV on the Oregon Coast for what may be the world's largest housekeeping event to clean up Oregon's beaches.

Last year 60,000 pounds of trash was removed from Oregon's beaches at the spring cleanup. The debris, distributed on the beach by visitors to the beaches and by winter storms, is not only unsightly but also a danger to wildlife.

If you would like to join in and help out this year all you have to do is show up. Wear warm clothes and bring gloves. You will find locations at Oregon Beach Cleanup along with a list of team leaders and their phone numbers.

The 2010 Spring Beach Cleanup will be on Saturday, March 20th.

The 2010 Fall Beach Cleanup will be on Saturday, September 25th.
