The Grand Victorian Bed and Breakfast

This elegant three-story victorian home one block from Nye Beach gives you the choice of two rooms with a shared bath or you can have the entire third floor. The third floor suite has its own private jacuzzi bath and shower. It also gives you a panoramic view of the ocean. The other

two rooms are on the second floor. One has a view of the ocean and one has a view of the Nye Beach Community.

Upon checking in you will be served hors d'oeuvres and beverages. In the evening home-made desserts are served. A large hot breakfast is served in the morning.

Oar House Bed & Breakfast

Oar House started its life in 1900 as a boarding house and at one time was a bordello. It is also in the Nye Beach Community. Some rooms have an ocean view and two rooms have a jacuzzi tub for two. Two of the rooms are ideal for parties that need two rooms--on the second floor and close together. All rooms have a private bath.

Savoury breakfasts and sweet breakfasts are served on alternate days. All breakfast include a hot dish. Vegetarians are well provided for.

Green Gables Bed & Breakfast

At Green Gables you get a bed and breakfast, coffeehouse, bakery, and bookstore all in one. Two guest rooms are available and both have a whirlpool tub for two in their private bath. One guest room has an outside deck. Popcorn, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee are available in your room. Breakfast is served in the coffeehouse.

Shilo Inn Suites Hotel

Shilo Inn, one of the major hotel chains, is conveniently located in Newport south of Nye Beach. This is one of those places where you can enjoy the ocean without even setting foot on the beach if that is what you want to do. During heavy storms that just might be the best thing to do. Your vacation wouldn't be

spoiled. Storm watching on the Oregon Coast is very exciting and it is after those storms that you are most likely to find treasures on the beach. Just be sure you ask for an ocean-view room.

The hotel has all the usual amenities of a major hotel. Good size rooms, private bathrooms, restaurant, cafe, lounge, two heated swimming pools, and of course TV. The rooms have a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

Comfort Inn

This is another major hotel chain. It is conveniently located south of Nye Beach and it is near the Shilo Inn. However, it isn't on the beach. It is a good place to stay and you will probably be out all day seeing the sites and playing on the beach.

This is a good choice if you want to save some bucks. A free Continental Breakfast is included as is free coffee. All rooms have a coffee maker and microwave. Some rooms have a refrigerator.

La Quinta Inn & Suites

La Quinta is located on the south end of the Yaquina Bay Arch Bridge off of Highway 101. It is not on the beach but it is near the entrance to South Beach State Park.

The rooms are standard hotel rooms with queen or king size beds. There is a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator in every room. They offer free high speed internet access in all rooms. A Continental Breakfast is included.

Lodging in Newport Oregon--Cheap Vacation Rentals

If you are looking to save some money on a vacation rental in Newport here are a few ideas for you. Also, keep in mind that lodging in Newport is cheaper during midweek and off season. Off season on the Oregon Coast is October through April excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and school vacation times in March.

Econo Lodge

This hotel is within a short walk of the beach. It has the usual standard features of free coffee, satellite TV, high speed internet access, and complimentary continental breakfast. There are some handicapped accessable rooms and pets are welcome.

America Inn & Suites

Here you can have a single room with one or two beds, a suite, or a kitchen suite. Rooms have a microwave, a small refrigerator, wireless high-speed internet, and cable TV with HBO Channel 4. The beach is just a few blocks away. Dogs are welcome for an additional charge. Their winter rates for a single room are half the summer rates. There is a computer for guest use in the office.

Like the two hotels above, the Days Inn is just a few blocks from the beach. Rooms have TV with cable. A free continental breakfast and newspaper are supplied. No pets are allowed. There is a fitness center and hot tub for guests.
