Crescent Lake


Crescent Lake Oregon is located off Highway 58 (Willamette Highway) on the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains just ten minutes away from the Willamette Pass Ski Area. It is easily accessible from both Eugene and Bend.

The lake is popular for both fishing and water sports. Lake trout, brown trout, and rainbow trout are all found here. Hikers and horseback riders will enjoy the endless trails including a section of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Crescent Lake Campground



There are 47 camp sites which may be used for tent or RV camping. The maximum length for a RV plus vehicle is 50 feet. Each site has a picnic table and fireplace. No hookups are available. Drinking water and vault toilets are available. Firewood may be collected in the surrounding forest. There is a boat ramp and floating loading dock. This is a no-reservation campground. Fees run from $13 to $15 a night with a $5 fee for an additional vehicle. A small area is provided for day users. The campground is open from April to October. No reservations.

There are 13 sites that can be used for tent or trailer and five more for tents only. There is no drinking water at this campground. The maximum parking length is 35 feet. Vault toilets are provided. This is a first come, first serve campground. Fees are $9 to $11 a night with an additional $5 for extra vehicles. Contorta Flat is open April to October.

Whitefish Campground

Camping Beside Lake


Whitefish Campground, located near Crescent Lake Oregon, is only for campers with horses. Potable water and vault toilets are provided along with horse stalls. Three sites have four horse stalls and the other 14 sites have two stalls. Each camping spot has a picnic table and fireplace. The campground is typically open from the time the winter snow melts until the first snows of the winter. Water may not be available after October. There is a maximum of two vehicles per site. You need to make reservations four days in advance. Fees are $14 to $16 a night. Call (541)822-3799 for more information.

Simax Group Campground

The Simax Group Campground is fully accessible for the handicapped. Disability accessible trails link the camps to the day-use area and the lake. There are three group camp sites--two for 40-person groups and one for a 30-person group. Flush toilets and electical outlets are provided as are tent pads and water. The 30-person site is for both tents and RV's ($75). One 40-person site is for tents only and the other 40-person site is RV's only ($95). A community shelter is available with electricity for $25 a day. Reservations are required. Call 1-877-444-6777

Crescent Lake Resort and Lodge

At Crescent Lake Resort you can rent a studio cabin on up to a three-bedroom affair. Except for some of the studio cabins, these rentals have kitchens and the larger units have fireplaces. The largest unit sleeps 11 people. The resort is open year-round and has a small grocery store, tackle shop, boat rental, restaurant, laundromat, service station, and boat moorage.
