Away from the beach you can take a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad behind a steam locomotive along Tillamook Bay. Oceanside is located off the Three Capes Scenic Loop just 11 miles from Tillamook. The beaches are sandy and great for beachcombin, clamming, fishing, and picnics. Cheese lovers will enjoy visiting the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the Blue Heron French Cheese Company. The Tillamook Air Museum and Blimp Hangar is nearby on Hyw 101. The Cape Meares Lighthouse is just a short distance up the coast.

Cabins on the North Coast -- Pacific City
Pacific City is about 20 miles north of Lincoln City. It is a small town of around 400 people in the winter but swells in the spring and summer when the vacation rentals are occupied. It is at the southern end of the Three Capes Scenic Drive.
Enjoying the beautiful beach is tops among the many things to do in Pacific City. You can search the beach for agates, dig for clams, dip your toes in the surf, or fly a kite. Fish for Dungeness Crab, salmon, steelhead, and trout (in the Nestucca River) or surf fish for Ling Cod and bottom fish. The waves around Kiwanda Rock are popular for surfing.

- Delicate Palate Bistro, 35280 Brooten Rd, Pacific City, OR 97135. The Delicate Palate Bistro is a bit pricey but most people think it is worth it and you can dress in casual clothes. One of the most popular dishes is the roast duck. Other popular dishes are the halibut, salmon, rib eye steak, and onion soup.
The Grateful Bread Bakery & RestaurantM, 34805 Brooten Rd., Pacific City, OR. This is a good place for breakfast.
